The Objective
The goal of the Apps4Gaps Reading Challenge is to foster a love for reading among students while encouraging schools and libraries to support literacy.
The contest incentivizes students to read as much as possible, submit them reading logs and activities, and recognize schools with the most entries through a dedicated platform.
Target Audience
The target audience is students from kindergarten to 12th grade.
Type of contest
Participants are tasked with reading as many books they can during the three-month challenge period.
Type of participation
Each classroom will act as a team, and the total number of books read by the students in that classroom will count towards their team's score.
Rules
*The schools without a librarian can choose another representative to guide the students, and to be eligible to win the prize. The ITMS Group team needs to be notified about it.
Judge Criteria
The points earned by the students based on the number of books read, will be adjusted according to the average number of students per grade level in each school. This ensures fairness in the competition between schools.
(This data will be uploaded by the end of every month to Apps4Gaps. )
Prizes
- Classroom Winner: For the classroom that wins the contest, students will win a pizza party on the date of the school’s choice.
