Reading Challenge 2026

From February 9th to April 30th, students from Kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to join the Apps4Gaps Reading Challenge and make reading part of their daily routine. The goal is simple: foster a love of reading while encouraging classrooms to work together as teams. Each classroom competes by reading as many books as possible, logging their titles through the platform, and aiming for the top spot! 

To participate, students must read at least 7 books (5 from Lightbox, if available) and complete the registration form found in the “Reading Challenge” area inside Apps4Gaps. The winning classroom earns a pizza party, and the school’s librarian or representative wins a trip to the ALA Annual Conference in June.
